Peanut butter probably helped deter any potential spike from the banana, but regardless that is a great NSV! I have read that banana is not actually the best source of potassium. Avocados are better and they are lower in sugars.

I didn't eat bananas that often but now that I can't have them, I crave them! They interfere with my meds...😢

Texasgranny, why can't you have them? I know there's lots of different reasons

Diana, it's just the way we are when we can't hsve we want it no matter what is it suddenly makes it intriguing🤔 but we can certainly live without bananas there's plenty of things I can't have either like soda due to my Kidneys I love soda but I love my kidneys more 😁

Tr3, I'm not crazy about kiwis either, I throw them in my blender when I do green smoothies.
Also, what does soda do to kidneys? Does that include plain seltzer? I was told seltzer is also ng for bone density issues, which I don't have an issue with. Very dense bones & seltzer in moderation. Gosh it's the only bubbly I have left.

ACBelle that's a great idea is what I do to my kids make juices mixed with veggie and sweet fruits so they would drink it. As for soda is mainly cola which I was addicted to until I was told by my urologist, neurologista and pcp that it was killing me slowly as for duabetes it has too much sugar migraines are triggered by one of the chemicals and when it comes to kidneys it's your worst enemy it contains a chemical called phosphoric acid that cause urinay changes that promote my beautiful kidney stones and salt reabsorption by cells in the kidneys which could lead to kidney failure even the diet ones which are worse because it contains more chemicals than the regulsr ones

plain seltzer is included but you could still have in moderation but it does leach calcium from bones and cause kidney stones too but you shouldn't eliminate it unless you already have these underlying problems
