I went out and feed the weeds this morning. I hope they die this time so I can clean up my yard. I am struggling to get my carbs in my diet under control. Everything I like to eat has carbs in them. Any suggestions on how many carbs a day are healthy and what to eat?

It is less how many total carbs and more having a stready spread over the day. For pre-diabetes the general guideline is 60mg or lower per meal.
Some ideas for controlling carbs.
Most ramikins hold 3/4 cup - which is a perfect measure for rice, potatoes, pasta per meal. If you need more bulk to fill you up add vegatables - onion, peas, green onions, diced tomatoes, parsley, very finely sliced kale (roll it up before cutting).
Hollow out hot dog and hamburger buns. Toast bread and run a knife down the middle to split into two pieces for sandwiches. Put sandwich and pizza ingredients over greens for a salad.
For desserts discover sugar free coffee stand syrups -Bed Bath and beyond sales Skinny Syrups - these are zero carb.
-Apples with almond & cinnamon and SF syrup
-whip cream, SF jello
-cottage cheese blended with and egg and chocolate SF syrup baked for a low carb chocolate cheese cake.
You can do this.
