Eye Opener!
I stumbled upon this site while looking up nutritional information on an egg. I liked the tool to record your daily food so I was half intrigued. While I consider myself a generally healthy eater, I was curious to really see how my diet stacks up.
I have recorded my daily food intake for the past 7 days. All I can say is "I had no idea!" I always knew I ate more carbs than proteins or fats, but I never realized just how many more. Yikes! A fairly balanced profile for me would be about 1/3 fats, 1/3 carbs, and 1/3 proteins. After 7 days my profile revealed 23% fats, 65% carbs, and 12% proteins.
Now that I know how I've truly been eating, I've got some work ahead of me. I need to double my proteins and halve my carbs. This is going to be tough ...
