Hang in there! I hope I am able to do the same slow and steady loss like you! I'm just starting and it seems so very daunting, but I got the faith. Haven't quit smoking yet, but that is goal three! I'm off all meds and doing well...and now on the way to getting back to a healthy weight. Cigs will have to wait for now!

Your inner psychiatrist (2nd sentence), said it right. You have done a great job. Try picking up a 5lb bag of potatoes, the thing here is did you check your body measurements. While you might not see what you are looking for in the mirror, something somewhere on your body is "smaller." Stay focused and KUDOS to your 4 lb. loss.

Thanks to all of you for the encouragement. This whole life style change is hard to start but I am sure it will be well worth it in the end. The positive perspective received from this sight is refreshing. Thanks again Jade Lady you can do it and I wish you all the best on the quitting smoking.

that is awesome! And I agree.. pick up something around the same weight as what you lost - it can totally change your perspective. Keep it up! :)

That really is fabulous! I'm back at FatSecret again - I had this silly notion that I could continue to lose the weight on my own and gained everything I'd lost back and then some. Don't feel depressed. You're not back at ground zero -- look how far you've come and then turn around and continue the journey. You'll get there!

The only thing that could be considered even a possible negative is "only lost 4 lbs this month", but even that's a good thing, you lost. Everything else you wrote is a huge positive. We need to measure our progress in more than just a number on a scale although that number is what we're always looking for. You've quit smoking, stuck with it over a year and ON TOP OF THAT lost 28 lbs. No defeat there at all, I'd spell it VICTORY!!

Because you want it, it will happen. The weight is coming off, let your alter ego act as your nutritionist.
