kszkaradek25's Journal, 25 June 2014

So, My best friend is getting married in August and I am the Maid of Honor. I am having trouble getting motivated to love weight and don't know what to do. I bought Herbalife products from a friend, but not sure if it works. Also I have hydroxycut at home. I'm well aware that there is no magic pill but I feel like I am just stuck. Ughhh what a frustrating day! So I feel the need to start using this site and maybe having some support will get me motivated.

August is two months away!! We gotta get you moving!!! I recommend starting with a cleanse, figuring out your recommended daily calorie intake based on your activity level and come up with a meal game plan, and get your butt out there exercising!!! Let's do this!

Basically with a cleanse, you want to up your fiber intake to get rid of the icky stuff in your system and then after a few days you add a probiotic. The fiber will help bind excess fats and bad bacteria in your belly and push it out of your system, the probiotic then replenishes good bacteria into your system so you can digest your nutrients more efficiently. While you're doing these two things, you want to be sure to not put anything into your body that's counter-productive...things like high-fat dairy, high sodium or sugar, fried foods, processed and pre-packaged foods, creamy sauces and partially-hydrogenated oil, white flour, alcohol, soda. Basically uou want to stick with fresh or steamed veggies, fresh fruit, whole grains and complex carbs like beans and multigrain breads, healthy fats like avocado and natural peanut butter, and lean protein like chicken, salmon, ground turkey. The cleanse I typically do is 3 servings protein, 3 servings complex carbs, 2 servings veggies, 1 serving fruit, 1 serving fat, I usually do it for 10 days. To balance each meal it'll look like this: one protein, one carb, one fruit or veggie. You'll have 3 full meals plus 2 snack times where you can add in extra fruits and veggies. And water is KEY! You should take in half your body weight in ounces everyday when you cleanse. So if you weight 200lbs you need 100oz of water. It sounds like a lot, but if you write down a plan beforehand it's really easy to follow.

Before breakfast: fiber (preferably a fiber drink so you can add the liquid to your daily water intake) plus full glass of just water afterwards....Breakfast: full glass of water, fruit, carb, protein (or whey protein shake with blended fruit, way easier)....Snack: full glass of water, veggie....Lunch: full glass of water, veggie, carb, protein....Snack: full glass of water, fat....Dinner: 2 full glasses of water, carb, protein, veggie....Try to maintain around 1300-1500 calories, with those 8 glasses of water you are only at 64 oz just for reference... and don't eat 2 hours before bed....yeah I cleanse every 90 days :)
