Just got back to work from Dr. appointment. My doctor was overall pleased that with all the upsets in my life the last six months that my weight was still where it is. So I stressed over nothing. He wants to see me again in 6 months. Said to exercise and eat oatmeal. :)- I don't like oatmeal... My cholesterol numbers were moving in the right direction. I went from overall cholesterol about 250 down to 220. Still too high...but much better than where it was. Same with LDL. I was at around 180 previous...now it is 156. Both were a big enough decrease that I don't have to be on cholesterol meds at this time. The BEST news was that my good cholesterol which has always been around 27 (normal 40-60) jumped up to 54! He was very happy about that!!! Good day overall for Kathy!

was thinking adding raisins & nuts next time for a trail mix idea??

Now that foreverhealthy mentions fish oil...I did eat a lot of fish while it was cheaper for the Easter season. Perhaps that raised my good cholesterol and helped lower the bad.
