Easter weekend, I ate normal, like everyone else. Of course, I gained weight. I'm more now than this time last year. It seems like the harder I try the more I gain.
I even exercised 6 out of 7 days and still gained.

It's all the sodium from the ham. Water weight! Don't worry, it will pass. Keep going! We'll get there!

Woops! I encourage you not to look back to a past point in time. Way out of our grasp! Start today and project ahead one week. Count on the fact that immediately following a weight gain, our bodies pull out all the tricks they have to "maintain the status quo." Our unthinking and reactionary bodies consider any reversal in weight trends to be a threat to their survival. So, they hold onto water, and fat, and fight like "h--" to keep things they way they are. Usually takes a week or two to reverse the trend, as our bodies finally figure out that we're not going to die for lack of food. All in all, what you do today will contribute to your reward. (hope I don't sound preachy....just really passionate about helping.....)

Intensive exercising can also cause muscles to retain water for repair.
