I think I sweat too much for my heart rate monitor.It gets too moist and says "check heart rate monitor". Just bought the thing too.

Sweat should help the hr monitor make contact. Make sure you are positioning it correctly and it is tight enough. Some upper body exercises cause mine to move around and lose connection.
