Added exercise (working with a trainer) and I am sticking with the thought that the added pounds are due to building muscle and that in a few weeks, I am going to start to see a payoff from all the exercise.
That's my story and I am sticking to it!

New exercise causes the muscles to retain water to help them heal. This can show on the scale as a temporary gain, no loss or smaller loss than usual. Google "why the scale lies" for insight in to water weight fluctuations. It's temporary. And you will see a pay off from the exercise in the next few weeks. It does take time.
