Tim Huffman's Journal, 08 February 2014

Unoffical weigh in yesterday and today show me at my original goal weight. If I offically hit it Monday I will move it to 180. I can't believe I lost 20 lbs in 6 weeks, especially with all the challenges that were tossed in. I would have never been able to do it without counting/tracking my calories. I have learned a lot this past 6 weeks, I would have never thought that I would be someone that Fasts but I must admit, it has helped me understand and control cravings and the mental self talk that had historically caused me to fail, I must say, I like it. My buddies have steered me to educate myself by sharing experiences and articles. Albert Einstein said "The definition of insanity is to continue to do the same things and expect different results" I thougt I knew how to eat healthy but for some reason found myself 20 to 25lbs over weight. Thank you buddies for sharing and supporting.

Next week I plan to try 16/8 Leangains fasting. I'm excited by the thought of only having to worry about 3 large meals instead of preparing for 6 meals per day. I plan to strart to train for Grandma's marathon late this month so I'll have to learn how many calories I will need to maintain weight and limit muscle loss during that process. I'm excited for the challenge, plus, now I feel like I have an army of Buddies that will give me a hand.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Tim, you are so spot on in your observation/experience! Being mindful, present, and teachable is certainly a tactic to combat that insanity cycle! Nothing changes, if nothing changes but sometimes just trying something new is quite ENERGIZING! Keep posting about your continued success!

I hope so Draglist, I have to head to the store to pick up some Syntrax Protein powder, any flavor recommendations? Thanks KJ, I read your profile. You sound like a bad ass : ), that takes a minute to stop and smell the roses. Sent you a buddy request.
