StllrChick's Journal, 24 January 2009

I slipped up just now, I was really craving pasta (damn tuscani pasta commercials >.< !!!). Anyway I was doing really well and was reaching for the premade plan meal that I had in the fridge but reached for the jar of pasta sauce instead. It would have been alright except that instead of the 1/2 cup of cooked pasta I should have eaten I ate the rest of the box...I think it probably was 1 1/2 cups which is 3 meals worth of carbs.

Its frustrating to see the sabatoge that I'm performing on myself but I'm going to take a deep breath because this was my last meal of the night and start fresh in the morning.

amen! I messed up tonight as well,,, I did really well this morning and afternooon and thought I would do good tonight, but went out and instead of ordering just a salad, I ordered something I had never tried and told myself I would only eat a portion, but ended up eating it all.... last meal of the day and I will have to start again tomorrow, but I will be thankful to have tomorrow to start over again in.

NICE JOB on the FRESH START attitude !!! :D It must just be the time of year, because we all made it thru the Holidays, and now it is so cold and chilly (most places) and nothing to do... It's happening here too... I have been trying hard to just grab the "safer" stuff... EEK ! I need to break 188 ! LOL Either way, way to go on the good attitude ! You will have a GREAT day tomorrow !!! :D (PS ~ the Challenge is starting soon too ! That will be fun as well !) YAYYYY ! *PEACE*

Oh let me tell you how I wish I was 22 again...I too have been heavy all my life, tried countless diets, etc. Now I am 43 and still trying to lose! But I wish in the worst way that I had gotten control over this area of my life when I was a mere 22! If I had it to do over again, I would never have quit Weight Watchers the first time I joined, and had realized then that I would ALWAYS have to watch what I eat, not just lose some and then go back to the way I ate before! I have friends that have always been thin - some don't have to work at it (don't you just hate those people!) while others are always conscience of what and how much they eat...it's their lifestyle! Food is not the stuff life is made of - please do what you can now to get it thru your head that it doesn't matter if you always have to be careful about what you put in your mouth...there is a lot more to life than that! Pretend your doctor just told you that you are allergic to sugar (or whatever your weakness is!) and live as though that food does not exist for you. And #1 - portion control! At your age all you would have to do is cut down on what you eat and you would probably lose without much effort. While the 6WBMO is a good way to lose - it is easy to gain back if you don't learn to eat in a way that can help you keep it off for life. Sorry for the sermon - I really wish you success and a lifetime of not being heavy like I have had. Make 2009 your year to make your health top priority! You are much more important than that 2nd or 3rd piece of pizza!
