6th/114til goal
My body is sorer than ever and it feels great! I went to the Y yesterday w my daughter. I haven't been to that gym in quite some time. All new equipment except for their rowing machines.
I think about a hypnotist trainer once said. If you gotta lose weight, work on cardio and lose it! Sure, training won't hurt you, but your biggest asset depending on where you are in weight lost land is burn it off! Then deal w sculpting.
I got on the rowing machine and I was doing alright. Steadily watching the calories burn. Then it hit me, only less than 24 months ago I could not do this! I was much heavier, unbalanced, and my cognitive skills were dysfunctional. Back then it was a great achievement just to balance on that dam sliding seat. It was all I could to stay balanced and pull the fake oars and when I did, I started on level 1. Fast forward to being gluten free, shed 60 lbs, I was on that rowing machine w/o a thought. Pulling the oars at level 10! That moment felt pretty nice. Thank you, God.( It took time to build up to that, but great moment)!
I lost another lb, but my policy is I don't own it or post it unless it's been 2 days. So stay tuned.
I did not go to the gym, or tan today. I needed a day to get a handle on housework, and laundry. I swear to God, that's harder than the gym!
Birthday for my husband this Tuesday. We're having a family dinner tomorrow. Homemade GF meatballs. I wont be having the GF pasta. I'll make a nice salad and thinking some fancy asparagus spears wrapped w prosciutto. Since I'm losing, I'll stay on this Atkins/modified until it seems to need a boost.
I'm careful I have plenty of food on hand. Careful today, as I am not working out. It's 6:23 as I write this. I may do some stretching but that's a stretch. lol
OK Still need to learn more about the program but cooked up a storm this afternoon instead.
Oh, I want to mention I ran into one of my favorite gym teachers from high school while at the gym. She and I may work out together. Heck, that will be motivating. She used to work w Olympians. Talking body beautiful warriors!! I'm 55 and she has to be in her 60's. You are as young as you want to be!

To our svelte success!
Leslie
