Not my finest day...I ended up finishing the soda I had in the house. It was only 2 cans and now I have none which is good though. I have to do errands in town today because it is hubby's payday so dinner is going to be something from town. Unfortunately I have no idea what to get...I had leftovers for breakfast from a recipe on here so between that and the soda my calories are over 800... We tend to either do taco bell or subway We can't really afford to go out to a real restaurant to eat and my ASD kids won't eat restaurant food anyway. I just know today is going to be bad since it started out that way...

Just an idea, you could buy one of those rotisserie chickens from the supermarket for something quick. Add a bad of steamed vegges and rice for some healthy sides. As long as you pull the skin off you have a healthy and quick meal. Today will be a great day, it's only halfway over :)

We won't be home until way too late to eat :( It's a 20 minute drive just to get to town to run errands and we can't leave until almost 4 giving us little time to take care of the places that close early. I truly hate paydays!

Those rotisserie chickens are a true blessing on days when I am running and know that cooking and planning aren't gonna be in the cards. I went to the store last week and bought 2 of them , one for dinner with the family, and used the other to cut up and make chicken salad and such so that I had lunchs without doing bad.

I may have to do that, hadn't thought of cutting one up for salad topping. :D

For safe fast food, we do a small Wendy's Chili with side salad and fat free french dressing (which is surprisingly good). Filling and about 300 calories for everything.

When we eat out my husband loves to eat at subway. Did you know you can make any sandwich into a salad? I always get the sweet onion teryaki chicken made into a salad with all the veggies on top. The sweet onion teryaki sauce does have a lot of sodium but not much of anything else.

Thank you Liz, I thought about looking into the calories of different things at the fast food places...

When I was doing Atkins I always turned the sandwiches into salads at subway...

I also do the chili at Wendy's and also get a Sour Cream and Chive Potato and then put the chili and sour cream on the potato. I think it comes to about 590 calories. So, not super low, but not terrible either.

Here's a meal from Taco Bell for under 500 calories... Two Fresco Soft Beef Tacos with Mexican Rice and a bottle of water 470 calories 17 g fat (6 g saturated fat)

I don't like rice, any kind unless its just white boiled rice with milk sweetener and cinnamon :( I am weird when it comes to food lol

Have a turkey sub on wholemeal or multigrain bread with lots of salad and no sauce. Have avocado instead of butter its a healthy fat. And have a 6inch instead of a footlong thats what i do.

Thanks Nina :) I'll just need to remember to record it when I get home too. Remembering to record everything is a routine I need to get back into.

I days like that I pick up a rotisserie chicken from the deli and a bagged salad. Your kids would eat chicken wouldn't they?

Wandering... hubby loves subway but I won't go because of the carbs. Had no idea you could make a salad. Thank you so much for the idea.

There will be days like this. Take a step back and chose the best out of the two fast foods. Subway is healthier. If you have to get the bread, then have them rip some of the middle out of it and go with multigrain (and the smallest one you can get). I'm not sure what Subway offers right now, but you could do just veggies in the sub (cucumber, lettuce tomatoes, peppers, onions--no cheese, pickles). If you really need the meat, do a baked chicken or turkey, not the ham. Good--you finished the sodas..Move on from there and don't buy anymore! You're going to do it. We all have these days and that's why we're all here to help each other!

Well, I made the decision to have paydays be my only cheat days...it is only every 2 weeks so it's not like it's often and it is literally the only time I go anywhere around fast food. So I ended up getting Pizza. It is my 1 major addiction food and I don't get it often.

Go for it. Lots do an indulgence day weekly. If you can do that every 2 weeks and still lose, very cool.

Thanks Classic :) I will see how it effects my weight once it is more routine. Just barely getting back into watching what I eat so I know it will take time...so much time...
