A year ago today, I weighed 182 lbs.
Today, I weigh 128 lbs. (I'm not recording it yet)
A year ago today, I was afraid to buy jeans because the number was too large for me to face. (13/14)
Today, I bought jeans in a size that I never thought I'd see, and I didn't even try them on to see if they'd fit.
A year ago today, I didn't even know what my measurements were.
Today, I know that I have a 25 1/2" waist.
A year ago today, I had 62lbs left until my goal.
Today, I realized that I didn't have to hit a specific goal. I just had to be happy with myself.
A year ago today, I kept myself from things I loved because I thought they'd make me fat again.
Today, I realize that food isn't the enemy, and you can eat whatever you want as long as you're smart about it.
A year ago today, (well, a year and a few days ago), I made a commitment to myself that I would stick this out no matter what it meant.
Today, I am happy to say that I lost weight and I'm never going to put it back on.

Many things can change in a year, I hope everyone has a happy and healthy new year, and for those of you just joining and starting on your journey, it is possible, all you need is to WANT to do it. Do it for yourself, love yourself, and only answer to yourself, but you are the only one who matters in YOUR journey.

Wow! You have done soo soo much in this last year and I am so proud of you and happy for you. You had some rough spots but you stuck it out no matter what and now you can really feel good about that. Happy New Year!

Alli, you have really inspired me to try harder this year. I don't want to look back a year from now and wonder (again) what the 130s feels like. I remember being 137, but that was in 7th grade! Hoping to see that as an adult. I've averaged out the 26 pound loss I will need over the next 6 months and set monthly goals. You really did a great job!

What an inspiration! I am so glad I came across your profile! I myself have lost a decent amount of weight 50-60lbs but lately it's hard to stay motivated because I don't see it coming off and I'd like to get to the 120-130's (again). After looking at your profile I see it is possible I just really have to work for it. Thanks so much!

Wonderful journal Alli! You accomplished so much, and I love it when you say you will never put the weight back on. Not only you did it, but you will keep going... Great words!
