I have not been good at all. I am trying very hard to try and eat right, what happens is that I end up not eating and I know this is bad. I need to work on menu plans that I really don't have to plan, is that possible?? lol... THAT is my NY resolution. To work on menu's and stick to it. It's the 8th so I have done that 3 days... Sheesh!!! I will keep trying. Any suggestions??

What is your primary goal? To lose weight? To be "healthier"? Everyone should "eat right", but let's be realistic, and honest - completely overhauling your diet is difficult logistically, time-consuming, stressful, probably will cause a lot of short-term, unpleasant side effects as your body adjusts, and is not likely to be successful in the long run, because you'll get sick of it before you get a chance to see results. My advice is to start small - don't attack your entire menu all at once! Make a small change that you can sustain (like choosing a better between-meal snack - not a great one, just a better one), and do that for a week or two. Once that becomes a habit, and easy, you can go on to the next thing. It will surprise you how quickly this nets noticeable results!

You sound like you want structure. You can plan your own menus and stick to it. Pick a few breakfasts and lunches that you know the caloric values of and interchange them to make it easier. Then you just have to do dinner. You can also google some plans that tell you exactly what to eat. I know Curves has different menu plans (one 1200 calorie days and the other low carb). It really depends on what your goals are. There are sites that let you choose the foods you enjoy and they build a plan around the caloric intake you choose. Then you print out the shopping list.

It is. I used the Zone diet for the first 50 pounds lost and the first 35 of that was with no exercise. The guy that designed it uses what he calls a 'block' system. You're likely looking at 13 'blocks' of each food type over the day (proteins, carbs, and fats). Each food is given a block size and you just put them together for each meal or snack... whatever you choose. For example. I know that 4 oz of beef is counted as four protein, a salad one block of carb, an orange is It's way easier than counting calories, but counting calories is what I have to do now that my bf is so low. 13% :)

Thanks for your support. I will google the Zone diet. I have started writing everything I eat and will work on planning my lunch. My main goal is to be healthy and get off meds!!!

Find something that works for you - sounds like the Zone is simple yet structured. Good luck!

On the "I" Diet, started on 31 December 2013, and lost 5.2 kg(11.44lbs). I feel allot better. Yesterday was a bit of a struggle. Made the mistake of taking my days food out of my bag, an putting it next to me. Staring at your food, makes you want to eat it. I ended up eating my 16H00 snack @ 14H00. Long haul to 18H00 when you make such a silly mistake. Woke up this morning, hungry as a beast. At least I know my metabolism is faster. My biggest mistake in the past was not to eat in the mornings. Somewhere long ago I made that silly mistake, and now I am paying for it.
