Day...15... I think...
I have GOT to stop staying up late nibbling and watching lame TV! Imagine the progress I would make if I would just GO TO BED!! Seriously though why is going to bed so hard? I've been a night owl since I was a little kid, but at thirty something running my own company, a husband who is literally always away, these crazy awesome kids, and everything else in life, I'm just TIRED!

I have a rule...no more food after dinner....around 6pm...that is it besides my herbal teas at night. You just need a routine - -decide what time to go to bed and stick to it. Stop the screen time at least a 1/2 hr prior. Maybe read for a bit there in bed till you get more relaxed. Shut the lights and go to sleep. If after a bit you don’t sleep - start the process over. Read a bit more....a book - not a screen....and shut the light and try again.

I do a 16/8 fast daily. I only eat between noon and 8 PM. I find that if I can't eat after 8 I get bored and go to bed because why stay awake if I can't munch? LOL

My weakest times are at night watching tv. I started planning snacks into my diet for this. Lately my go to is a serving of candy and a frozen yogurt bar. I'm a night owl too! You need that downtime for yourself!!! We usually eat dinner between 6-7 pm, then I have my snacks about 8 or 8:30. I stop eating after 9 pm since I get acid reflux. But I don't turn the lights out until about 1 am. This is the hardest time because I'm usually hungry but I guess terrible reflux isn't worth it anymore! Another thing I do is have 2 cups of decaf tea. It makes me feel fuller and fills that need to eat. Planning snacks really helps though! It has kept me from derailing!

One thing that helped me a lot is to only allow myself to eat in certain areas. Now when I go into my bedroom my mind doesn't think of food because I don't ever allow myself to eat in there. Also, a good thing that someone told me on FS was to do your nails after your food window has closed. You don't want to mess up your nails so after that I usually forget to have that snack. These two things have made a big big difference!
