Friday was a long day, making this night at work difficult. I went to bed Friday morning and woke up at 2:30:pm so that I could get my lunch packed, eat a little something and get to they gym by 4:30pm for my personal trainer appointment. She was a sargent today and worked me good. I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this. About 20 miniutes into my work out from hell, I became nauseated. I was standing there panting and I told her because I was breaking to catch my breath before the next set. She said "Really, oh. Give me 10." I left literally feeling like crap and when I got home my husband looked at me and said "Honey, your so red in the face, sit down and cool off". It took me 20 minutes to feel better and lose the nausea. Has this happen to any of you? I really thought I would not make it through it. She did say that she sees me in the gym all the time and I was doing really good. Not sure what to make of that, as this chick just tried to kill me. lol. While I was sitting resting at home I heard an alert go off on my phone and I looked at it and she was requesting me to be her Facebook friend. I had to laugh and I thought, friend my ass. The pain was still so fresh for me to consider her my friend. I am learning a lot about me and what I can accomplish. I told her I exercise with two left feet and really wish I had a more graceful, balancing look. She told me that will come.

I then showered and off to work I went. I have my bike here to ride home when I get off at 0700 am and I plan on getting a great rest before I have to get up Satruday and return here to work for my 3rd 12 hour shift.

Sorry I can not respond to each of your posts. Darn job gets in the way. But I am reading every one of them and rejoice in your successes and support you through your challanges.

Love and hugs to all,
P

Sounds to me like she thinks she's hot stuff. That can be dangerous when put in a position of power. She might watch too much biggest loser and is trying to get her jilian on. I can honestly say this has not happened to me. I control my workouts, never had a personal training. And although I have felt like I was going to die, it's never been to the extreme that you described. You don't want to injure yourself, not when you're finally making strides forward. So if you truly feel that she is pushing you too hard then you need to put her in her place. She works for you, not the other way around. She Is there to show you how to properly do things, help you become more fit, and generally get you started in the right direction. If she is on some power trip, then she can exit stage left. I think you are doing amazing!! Truly inspiring in your dedication. Don't let some crazy woman ruin the experience for you!

From the little experience I've had with trainers and seeing what they can, they are "ball busters". That's their job. Wait until you start lifting and she pushes you to do one more, then another, then another and your arms shake so bad, you think you're having a stroke. If she's too tough talk to the gym and ask for another trainer who might be a little easier to work with.

I've seen guys throw up at the gym after lifting too much and I've felt nauseous after running to far/fast...it happens. I'm so proud of you for doing it though...I really can't wait to get back to the gym this week!!!
