Dangerously close to quitting. I weighed myself for the first time in a week yesterday. I had "taken off" 3 lbs. Of course, the previous weigh-in was at the LAWL center, after breakfast & with my clothes on. Now that the center has closed, I weighed at my home first thing in the morning, no clothes. So that's where the 3 lbs was. Not very encouraging. Last night I cheated and ate some Halloween candy. This morning those 3 lbs are back. This is ridiculous. I QUIT.
191.0 lb Lost so far: 4.0 lb.    Still to go: 41.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I felt this way a week ago. A lot of people fluctuate up and down. I did not see any ups in your history... that's great! Z told me that fluctuating weight is "almost always" associated with sodium and water retention. Maybe increasing the water will help flush it out.

Ok so you've been at it for about 2 weeks and now you're ready to quit because you've put on the 3 lbs you've lost. It took me a year to lose the weight I did and I went an entire month without dropping a single pound. No one ever said it was going to be easy. Look at all the foods you ate this week. Were they high in sodium or sugar? It takes more than just one night of Halloween candy to affect you that much. I suggest you spend the day drinking your 8 glasses of water with some ice and about a tablespoon or 2 of lemon juice in it and relax. Come back tomorrow with a clear head.

yep. I suppose it could be. About 5 yrs ago I lost 60 lbs in 7 months with LAWL. I remember that at first it really came off fast, then slowed down. I think that is why I'm having so much trouble with the fact that yes it has only been 2+ weeks since I started but its starting off SO SLOWLY. My diet has changed drastically in those 2 weeks, but you sure can't see it on the scale.

Give it some time, your body may need more time to adjust.

If you quit after two weeks, then can I quit after over a year and a half. Come on please. This is a process and it will take a long time. Years for some of us. The diet industy (including LAWL) has done us a great disservice by telling us we can lose this weight fast. We did not get here overnight and we won't be skinny overnight. Please do not give up. I hope you are doing this for your longterm health as many of us here are doing. Slow and steady and you will see results that add up eventually. PS I have gained ten pounds but I do not intend on giving up even if I feel like it some days......

Robyn - hang in there!! Your body needs time to adjust to your new eating habits. I can guarantee you the LA Weightloss plan works - it is a lifestyle change - not a diet. You know it works - you've done it before, and you can do it again :-) If you fall, get back up there again. The LA Lite bars really help me stick to the plan - they cure my cravings and make me feel like I'm "cheating" LOL
