Forgetfullucy's Journal, 03 November 2010

What do you do when your 6 year old says "mom. don't you dare get skinny, I like you squishy!"... sigh.

Not sure what to think about that, does she know I am trying to get some weight off? Can she feel any difference? The last thing I want is to pass any of my baggage on to my kids. I try to keep all my goals and changes low key. Just not sure what to think, I know she is sincere, but I also know I need to think of my overall health.

Oh Bother.

That's sweet. I would just take it as a sign of how much she loves you and not worry about it too much. If it comes up again, just tell her you are trying to get healthy and that when you do you will have even more energy to play with her!

I really like Z'sMama's advice. She may just not realize that change can sometimes be a good thing :)
