I just started the South Beach Diet yesterday, and it's already working. I didn't think that I'd have the willpower for it, but since I got through the first day without my pasta fix, I'm thinking that things are going to be ok. Someone offered me cookies, and some kid came to my door selling doughnuts later...I swear, it's a conspiracy. Haha. But I lost four pounds over the course of two days. It was probably water weight, but I'm feeling encouraged anyway. Twenty-six more pounds to go! :)

Good luck on dieting while in college. Don't forget to eat breakfast, it will help you more than you can ever know. And don't be too hard on yourself if you have to fall off the wagon every once in a while. I know that during college I wasn't always in control of what food was offered to me. Just make the best of whatever situation you're in. Best Wishes!

Try to remember to have small meals plus two snacks a day. This may be difficult because of your busy lifestyle. It will help to be prepared! Good Luck
