I think I got rid of the XX clothing by cutting out a couple of culprits that I was pretty addicted to. White bread w/butter & jam was one. That was my breakfast for years - a couple of pieces of toast w/ lots of butter and then French or Italian bread with dinner.

Have also tried to eliminate white sugar and foods loaded with white sugar - which is pretty much everything pre-packaged. Big challenge but once I got into it awhile - I don't miss those things.

Another thing - I think I've reset my thyroid by taking Iodine Plus-2 tablets everyday. I'll try to find the link to the info I read about what happens to our thyroid as we age and what happens to us if our iodine level is low.

AND I'm shooting for a much higher protein diet - veggies are great but you need a good dose of protein. After so many salads (which I love) you get to the point where you just gotta have a burger. However - I'm careful what I load it up with and usually just eat a grilled burger like a steak - no white bun.

I do allot of grilled skinless chicken breast too. And now I usually start my morning off with cottage cheese and fruit instead of toast.

REAL IMPORTANT - I travel with some healthy snacks & bottled water to keep me out of the drive-thrus.

Little lifestyle changes have paid off.
