wow. last night just sucked. I get really sick sometimes, and the only thing that helps (nto even medication) is to raise my blood sugar, so in my mouth went 2 caramels, dark chocolate and 3 macaroons.

Wouldn't it help as much to eat good carbs instead of bad ones? Whole grain cereal, or brown rice, or whole grain bread, or sweet potato, or berries, or melon? It would raise your blood sugar but not send it into the stratosphere. Check out loosinisfun's journal today about sweet potatoes.

Many people experience what is sometimes referred to as "induction flu" and it is a feeling of illness as your body finally detoxes from carbs. If you eat sugar, it makes you FEEL better, but puts you back into the carb cycle. Having some protein (which your body can turn into glucose if it REALLY needs it) is a much better choice. If you can get past that carb withdrawal you will feel a lot better and your cravings won't be as strong. You really should read up on carb addiction. Read the Atkins book again because there is some good information about that. Good luck!
