I'm watching a television show on The Learning Channel called Freaky Eaters and this one is about a woman who eats only sugary sweets all day everyday. She'd been doing it for at least 20 years, eats about 6500 calories a day and she's in no way obese. She isn't tiny - she probably wears a ten or twelve - but how does she do that? The concept of the show is to break her of it and get her to eat more nutritious food, but i was really surprised they didn't even mention her health. I mean I wonder what her insulin and blood sugar levels were like.

Maybe she burns it all with major sugar rushes :~) I lost a lot of weight in high school snacking mostly on smarties... who knows. Might have to see if I can find that show.

I agree with trtltat- the sugar rushes could help with the calorie burning. I know that when I get stressed and start eating Mentos and not much else I drop weight, even though it is horribly unhealthy.

She's probably malnourished and actually starving herself.

You can be 400 pounds and malnourished and starving yourself. I just can't figure out why she was not very overweight. She would eat cake for breakfast and lots of candybars throughout the day as well as most all other sweets so it wasn't pure sugar she was eating but very simple carbs and high fat. For most people that would be a recipe for weight gain with the sugar bringing out the insulin and the insulin storing the fat and carbs. I'll have to research it tomorrow. I tried tonight but I just kept getting bodybuilding web sites lol. She's definitely no body builder, works in an office environment, didn't exercise or even socialize and kept herself pretty well isolated. I don't know how someone does that on 6500 cals a day and not be quite overweight.

@ibleedlipstick - I've done that too in the past but you likely were not eating 6500 calories worth of Mentos :) so that would be why the weight loss, stress making you practically fast, I mean.
