Restless, sorry to hear about this. I have also awoken to find myself eating or have eaten during the night. Not sure if it'll help you or not, but I find if I eat something fatty or sweet before going to bed I am less likely to do it. If you are going to bed feeling hungry or craving something, it will happen. Another thing you can do is be sure you ALWAYS have some acceptable treat that you can grab anytime you are feeling weak. Theres nothing worse than craving that cake and not having something to substitute it with.

Oh, RH, I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time at this point! I have times like that, but thankfully no one in my house keeps any of that stuff where I can get it!! Maybe you can have your son only order enough for him to eat right away, and if there are leftovers, make sure his friends take them when they leave. As for eating the toppings and nothing else, that sounds good, but from my experience it rarely happens that way. And the next time someone wants cake, let them get it for themselves, then you won't be tempted to lick the spatula!! This isn't rude, but merely self preservation!! lol I suspect that the sugar is what caused you to awaken with those cravings. So back on induction, and get it under control, before it snowballs!! Good luck, we are right here with ya!!

It is hard restlesshope. It is really hard to resist pizza and cake. YOu have lost over 20 lbs since you started this though and that is great. Never give up. Even if it seems like you mess up weekly or even 2 or 3 times a week. Hey maybe you could take a couple of benadryl before you go to bed when there are carbs in the house. You will sleep like a baby and not wake up finding temptation. :D Don't be too hard on yourself. You will get prepared and have a new start.

Laura, Laura, Laura, Laura....I am so sorry you're fighting thru these jungles of temptations. But, what's that saying....That which does not kill us only makes us stronger? Or something like that? You ARE fighting your way thru and making good progress. You have so much to be proud of for the way you keep fighting back. Good for you!

just get back up, dust self off and keep on movin!! I like amanda's suggestion LOL, knock yourself out and dont wake until morning, then make yourself a luxurious bacon/egg and coffee breakkie and put your feet up. Also, agreed on the letting folks serve themselves homestyle!
