Okay. About to go do my nightly workout. GOD my weight history line has me really bummed out. I mean, it's going down - not up, which I'm happy about, but it's so FLAT! UGH! Just 10ish more lbs... not even. Like 6 more lbs and I'll be at my goal. JUST GO AWAY 6LBS GO AWAY!!

Doing a shorter workout again tonight - going for around an hour, and around 450 calories burned. I figure... if I work out 5 days a week, and 3 days I do a high calorie burn (700+) and 2 days I do a medium (around 400-450) and then the other two days I either do something light (like play in the pool for a while, or do a lot of housework or whatever) or just give myself a recovery day with healthy choices... seems okay?? Or do you guys think I need to bump it up to like 4 days a week with 700+ calorie burn, 2 days a week ~450? I dunno. We'll see how I feel after the end of the challenge workout today to see if I'll do the 2nd session of step aerobics. Yesterday, it was mostly an upper body challenge (arms) and they were really straining (in a good way, but I could feel them yelling at me, lol), so yeah. Wish me luck!

OH! And I've been kinda proud of myself - I'm really trying to hit the 50/30/20 mark with my foods. Now I'm still struggling with fats (I LOVE me some ice cream and cookies and chocolate covered snacks - that are within my calorie range of course, but still high in fat)... and struggling to get more protein - but we just stocked up on a bunch of protein-filled snacks, and hopefully I can make better choices. Eating has been kinda messed up though, I'm having a hard time hitting my calories (I go for around 1400-1450 normally) lately... and I know that's not gonna help my muscles rebuild if I'm not getting enough food.

OKAY GOTTA GO WORKOUT! Enough chitchat, I can feel my butt getting fatter as I sit here (LOL just kidding of course!)

I'm with you toots. It's getting harder to see a drop these days. I guess it's to be expected, but wow...hard not to take it personally! lol... So I think if you work out 6 days a week, that's AWESOME. Whether those are super high calorie burn days or not. But I like the idea of doing the high and then the "low" alternating. Sort of like interval training in a different perspective! And there's a lot to doing little stuff, too. Like today I did my "usual" workout routine, but went shopping and tried on clothes and stuff, then prepared dinner and stuff. I mean, usual things - trimming some stuff around the yard and sweeping the pool (only like 20 min. total)...but the point is, I've burned more calories today doing other stuff and my workout instead of my more typical day of sitting on my butt too much. It's weird, the calorie thing. But hang in there because it will pay off. And good for you for putting more consideration into what kind of food you're fueling your body with! :) Good reading posts of yours again...

Now I'M feeling like the slacker! This Insanity workout seems to sap all my energy. I started off doing that and another workout, but now...can't seem to find the strength! :) But you? Holy cow...on FIRE!
