Good April Fool's Day Morning! Snuck in a last soda this morning before the DFW Madness challenge starts :) I've been thinking about the mini challenges and for the no oreos/junk challenge, I'm giving up chocolate chip cookies and the no cussing in front of Amish I'm not going to weigh myself everyday, just once a week. This is going to be a hard habit to break and I might have to hide my scale, but I let this silly number dictate how I feel about myself too much!
Weekend was good, didn't overeat yesterday, but did have a few pieces of the kid's candy. They got a ton, I'm going to have to bring some in to work! My son and I went for a meandering walk around town Saturday and I wore my pedometer. We ended up walking 1.7 miles. I was so proud of him!!
So yesterday I saw some family members who have been working to lose weight (shakeology, which I can't wrap my head around, why not replace your meal with whole, clean foods? If you don't learn to eat right isn't the weight going to come back on when you stop the shakes?) Anyhoo, they are both skinny. Skinny skinny and I was sitting there wanting to ask what they now weigh, but I didn't. I was thinking is my goal weight too low? Probably not, but they've lost their butts, boobs and hips. They look like sticks. I don't want to look like a stick. I've always had a poochy butt, but not much in the boobs. I want a flat stomach, one of the sticks doesn't have a flat stomach, my roll isn't that much bigger than hers and I probably outweigh her by 25 pounds now. So that got me thinking, should I be so concerned with the number on the scale? Thus stopping weighing myself daily. I want to learn to eat better and continue to get stronger, healthier and toned with exercise, but I don't want to be a stick.
