Ok, so my weight went from 168.2 yesterday to 169.6 today - a near pound and a half jump in one day!?! How did that happen??

Not sure, but several things are possible:
1. I didn't eat enough yesterday. Strange as that sounds, the body will start to go into "starvation mode" if you don't eat enough and it will hang onto every calorie it can get as a result. 1300 calories isn't enough.
2. I ate too late yesterday. Wasn't hungry until at least 8 p.m., and that's just too late, especially when I'm going to bed at around 10:30.
3. I ate badly. I had a small portion of beef stew and, realizing I hadn't eaten much during the day, capped it off with a piece of Italian bread and some butter. Probably not the best choice, especially, again, being so late in the day.
4. I haven't been exercising much. Not eating much and not burning much = weight gain.

Will store these notes mentally, get back on the horse and back to work!
