So, I have a bunch to say but kinda quickly.

1) Stepped on the scale this morning and got that feeling again that the scale wasn't actually "weighing" me, just defaulting to the last closest weight. So I picked up my cat and reweighed us, and then put her down, stepped on and off again and weighed myself. I went up a POUND. From that. AGAIN. So that's 3lbs I'm up... WTF. Eff that.

2) Today we had like an Iron Chef/Ninja Warrior day. I had a friend over (who like breaks all my shit and that's a different story but I'm really annoyed with him right now)... but we cooked like 4 dishes we picked out of these Asian and Indian cookbooks. We had seared raw tuna with some Wasabi Horseradish and Soy Sauce... We had some stir fried (no oil used, only Pam was used) Enoki and Straw Mushrooms with Asparagus in Mustard Sauce, and then some Tilapia with this Chili-Yogurt Sauce. All in All I think it was low calorie, but then I made sugar cookies that looked like ninja stars and ninja dudes. I ate like 5 of them... but I made them really thin, so I don't think it was "really" more than about 2.5-3 normal sugar cookies (that they use as the serving size). We also spent a bunch of time in the pool playing our "throw things in the pool and try and find them" game, for a few hours, so that was exercise.

3) I either pulled a muscle in my arm/shoulder swimming today or working out. But my shoulder has been very sore (like on and off, but incredibly painful when I rotate it in that one certain way that hurts) for the last week. Now it's not like a muscle building sore, it's more like a "something could be wrong" sore, so I'm going to take it easy tomorrow until I do my workout at night.

I can't record my food because 1) they weren't my cookbooks so I don't have the portions... and that's really the only reason. But anyway. The only other thing I ate was some peanuts, a bite of 1000 year old egg (yes, ask me about this, seriously, lol) and a bowl of honey nut cheerios. So, I hope I'm okay... Dunno what to do about this weight. I had a breakdown and cried.

Ooohhh...baby-girl...I'm so sorry you cried. And new scale or not, maybe something is wrong with it?! Although my scale will often give me two or three different weights in a row, but usually going between a half pound range or so. Did you make sure it's on a level surface, and solid? No rocking to it at all? These electronic ones are SO freakin' sensitive. AND ... you did say it was TOM, and if so, that'll affect your weight for a good three to four days... AND...you're building muscle. Man, go back and (yawn) read some of my journal entries from like Feb. and March. I was SO frustrated, so pissed. Working out nearly daily, eating right and being LUCKY if I lost .8 of a pound! I hated it, I thought I'd give up. Don't - it's not worth it. YOU are worth good, vibrant health. Damn, girl...do I REALLY need to send you a photo of my icky TUMMY?? THAT might get you motivated to hang in there for dear life! Lol... Well...not REALLY so funny to me, though...============================= Ewww...the shoulder pain. I have that! Two separate injuries and both tend to flare up randomly. Sometimes I can't even raise my arm past door knob height. It sucks so much. First injury was YEARS ago, like 12 1/2 yrs ago. Coming out of a bar with my buddy and I jumped on his back for a piggy back ride. YES...I was a bit shitfaced...knocked him down almost, he sort of regained his balance and overcompensated (he was drunk, too) and we slammed to the left onto the pavement. Shoulder first. MY shoulder. His weight and mine. Still have problems to this day, but luckily, not as many. Second injury - other shoulder! Good thing or bad? I don't know. Daughter and I just finished setting up our campsite, decided to walk around and figure out what was around us and I tripped when the toe of my boot caught a rock and I fell like a straight board forward (awkward) and BARELY caught myself before I face-planted it. I think I cracked my collar bone...one shoulder is obviously and noticeably higher than the other (this was about 3 years ago) and that shoulder often feels the same as the other one in terms of being able to raise it. Sometimes some Aleve around the clock for a few days helps, a little aspercream at night and morning, and slow stretches. It does suck. I don't know if ice would help or not, though... Hang in there. Let me know if I have to totally gross you out! lol...
