Good morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend. We headed down to DC on Saturday afternoon for my sis in law's surprise b-day party. It was a lot of fun! I noticed that their friend Amy didn't drink anything but water the whole night... can we say PREGNANT! But I didn't pry or ask... I just know now and I'm happy for them! :)
Of course I left my phone at my brother's house. I'm THE WORST person with phones, lose them all the time. Sad but true. He's mailing it back to me via insured Fed Ex today. I feel naked w/o it.
Sunday afternoon coming home we drove right into the storm. There were supposedly tornadoes but I didn't witness any. I was just freaking out we weren't going to get to the kennel to pick up the dogs before it closed. Thankfully we made it with half an hour to spare.
We were pretty tired from the night before so we just grabbed a burger (no fries for me!) at this local restaurant near us. I fell asleep at like 8 PM!
My weight has not budged. I guess that's a success since it was a "going out" weekend. I didn't eat any birthday cake and I don't like ribs or pork really for that matter so I didn't eat much during the party.
My doctor friend who was dating another doctor she met on Match got dumped. She is not doing well. I'm thinking about going up there this weekend (she lives in NYC) for some girl time. The older we get, the harder it is to deal with the breakups. She feels like she wasted a year of her life.
THREE THINGS I'M GRATEFUL FOR TODAY:
1) That my brother and Salem get along great!
2) That we made it home in time to spring the pups from the kennel
3) That my phone isn't permanently lost

Nice that you had a good visit... I hope you get your phone back without any problems... 'breaking up is hard to do'....didn't someone write a song about that? ..lol... I hope your friend will be ok... relationships are so important in our lives... have a great day

I'm glad you had lots of fun and sounds like you did great with your eating choices too. So sorry for your girlfriend and NYC sounds like just the place to go and have some fun. It's funny how attached we get to those cell phones. I am the same way...Can't live without it. Don't know what we did when we didn't have them. lol and computers too for that matter. glad you had a nice weekend- sometimes no gain is nice when you enjoyed yourself huh? happy for your friend! isnt it funny how we notice these things and they dont even realize ppl are watching?

Glad you had a good time in DC - I knew you would! Sorry about your phone though - that would totally kill me!! If you get a chance, take a look at my journal from Saturday... its... interesting to say the least!! Have a good one buddy!
