The day started off good. I lost one pound this week! Working the Cardiac Unit 2 - 12 hour shifts a week has been good for me both physically and mentally.
My hubby & I went browsing in an antique store this morning. We were looking for a cane for him. Didn't find one. However, what we did find while we were out was appalling! We found a poor little puppy ate up with fleas, hair falling out, and sores all over him. I know the irresponsible owners. They weren't home. I took the puppy right out of their back yard! I could not leave him there. He's been bathed, defleaed, medicated, fed and given some much needed attention.
I'm hoping after he heals so I can find him a home as I already have 4 animals of my own. I can't believe some people! I'm so mad!
But, hey....I lost a pound this week! :-)

Oh gee. I was going to say poor puppy but he's actually a very lucky puppy that you have taken charge. God bless you, we need more people on this earth like you! *hugs*

I saw the pictures of the puppy you rescued on your myspace page. Pitiful! I am so glad you rescued him. Once he gets well, why don't you try putting an ad on Craigs List with before/after pics with a story of the poor thing's life and his need for a tender loving home. In the meantime, get him well and take him for LONG walks so you can burn some extra calories. :)

I am SO-O-O proud you took the puppy & are getting it taken care of!! I get VERY MAD at things like that also! You are doing GREAT !!! ANOTHER POUND!! GO GIRL!!!
