Am going to give Keto a try and see how well I can do., in all honesty it's a matter of how well I can stick to it with the little support from the boyfriend and my will power., yes, I am a stubborn brat and yes I am determined, but that doesn't mean that Keto will be the right fit for me. So, I'm going to start small and adapt my coffee by changing from sugar to sweet 'n low and from regular flavored liquid coffee mate to their Natural Bliss Almond Vanilla, I did Google it before buying it to see if it was keto friendly and everything said yes so I figured I'll try it. I try to be a very open minded person and always willing to try new things, so I'm hoping that I can go from this small step forward and do what I have to. As for as everything else goes Keto-wise, we have a few starch filled meals happening anytime between now and the beginning of August, so after those take place, I will be able to focus more fully on Keto and in the meantime I can educate myself more about it.

I don't get the whole keto thing. Low carb diets have been around for years in one form or another just with different names.

Am going to give it a shot and even if Keto doesn't work for me, eventually I'll find something that will 😉☘

I started with small changes too before I started keto. And I prepped first as well, learning all about it like you plan to. If I hadn’t and just gone into it, i think I would’ve flailed around for a while before I found the right balance. One nice thing about it is that you do experience no hunger cravings but a real feeling of hunger when your body needs food. It’s awesome. However, the only times I experience that is when I’m following the diet closely(which is easy to do without the hunger gnawing at you). on days after I’ve strayed off diet, I get the hunger cravings again and it becomes more difficult to follow diet. I also use the urine tests at the beginning few weeks to gauge things and gained insight from that as to how my body reacted to different amounts of macronutrients. Good luck! (Also, I follow recommendations for Net Carbs which is carbs minus dietary fiber and that seems to work like a charm.)

I think you've got a great approach being open minded and researching the keto WOE. As Jewellynn said, one benefit of keto is losing that hunger feeling. Also, after a few weeks, many notice their craving for sugar is gone and the infamous carb-induced "brain fog" disappears ... it's great! Give it a try and know that you have a lot of support on this site!
