Chris1979's Journal, 14 July 2010

Yay down a little bit today. 144 even!!! Now to get these last 2 pesky pounds off so I can feel like I'm actually making progress not just fixing my past screw ups. :)

Salem tried to fix our fridge last night but to no avail. He scheduled an appointment w/ a repairman from GE for tomorrow afternoon. Cross your fingers for me that it's not too much $ to fix. It's $90 just for them to come do a diagnosis.

Tomorrow is my 2 year anniversary at my job and my ONE YEAR AT FATSECRET. I was 157 when I very first started. I may not be at my goal weight yet but I'm happy with the progress I've made to date. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

Friday is dinner with a bunch of my classmates from school. Some place in Ridley Park called the Gas Light. I've never heard of it but they swear it's good. I'll be the judge of that. :)

I got picked for jury duty. Blah. But it was sent to my old address and I live in a different city now so I'm hoping I can use that to get out of it.

THREE THINGS I'M GRATEFUL FOR TODAY:
1) Great night's sleep last night
2) Finally finished a non-school related book
3) Scale's continuing movement DOWN

Have a wonderful Wednesday! :)

Ugh, hope whatever's wrong with your fridge doesn't involve anything major. We always complain about our tiny fridge but at least it works. I guess you don't know what you got till it's gone. I know what you mean about just fixing past f ups. That pretty much describes most of my weight loss history. Or at least half of it. Happy anniversaries!

I just took a look at my weight history. Some people have a gently rolling downward slope. Mine looks like a mountain range!

I'll keep my fingers crossed regarding your fridge!! My chart looks like the Rocky Mountains too ... what beautiful sight!! Slow and steady does win the race. We never really 'finish' anyway ... so it is best to take it as it comes and learn to live with it. You are doing fine. You aren't fixing past screw-ups ... you are learning how to live well!!

Is there a Happy Anniversary song we can sing?? Great job on getting back down, and you'll get the last 2 off, don't worry about it. Sucks about the fridge, but hopefully its fixable, because $90 to have someone come out is way cheaper than having to buy a whole new unit! Have a good one!!!

Happy Anniversary and I am glad you are still here and that you are my buddy. I am hoping that this repair will be reasonable although 90 bucks right off isn't such a great start is it? Jury duty can be pretty boring. Maybe you won't get picked. I have never gone..the few times I was called they never picked me when I said my father was a lawyer. Although this is in your field you may like it. Maybe you'll get an exciting case.
