Debbie Cousins— here is the original recipe for the Carmel corn. It is from Paula Deen, a Food Network chef of old. I have been making it for many years. My first attempt at revising this will be to replace the real brown sugar with BROWN SUGAR SWERVE. It still won’t address the corn syrup but I’ll worry about that next time. Even if this is the only modification, but it is successful, I will be happy. When I make this Carmel corn, I cut the recipe to make one serving only. Eat, enjoy and move on. No leftovers. Just one simple portion controlled treat of many that I will have over the remainder of my life.. Not perfect but BETTER
