I learned something interesting yesterday.
A few weeks ago, I signed up for the Atkins website and yesterday, I received their "Welcome to Atkins" package that included, among other things, 3 Atkins Advantage bars. I ate the chocolate peanut butter one for breakfast - and it totally knocked me out of ketosis. And this morning, I didn't show any kind of loss. The funny thing about this is that I can eat sugar free reese's cups, stay in ketosis and still lose weight.
So, lesson learned. As convenient as the meal replacer bars and shakes may seem, I am not someone that can lose weight with them. It's cool though, I've never really been a "meal replacer" kind of girl anyway. I'd much rather have a real breakfast (or lunch or dinner) than a fake one. (Although, I was kind of excited about getting to have a pretty large candy bar type of thing for breakfast.)
But, this morning, I'm fighting sugar cravings and wheat cravings and that sucks.
