My first 5k tomorrow! One year ago, I was 15 lbs heavier (25 lbs heavier at one point)and 6 months ago could huff and puff my way to a 13:25 1.5 mile run time...
Knocked off 2 minutes on that run time as of yesterday (although, it was a treadmill, but still!) which was my best run time EVER. Not bad for a guy who was on crutches just a year ago :)
So my point is this, if you work hard, eat what's right for your body, and push your body to your own current fitness limits, you'll improve on whatever you're focussed on. It may take some time, but you'll get to your goals if you want it bad enough!
Believe in yourself... I do. So go out there and get em, tiger! Well, ok, after Thanksgiving! :D
