Good Morning Everyone! My weight is the same but my husband has finally seen a drop. After a 7 day stall he has went from 179.6 to 176.6! Thank Goodnes because he was about to give up. It is really odd, he lost about 9 lbs his first week and he was eating about 35 carbs a day and having double fiber wheat bread every day. His 2nd week he cut back to under 20 carbs, was in heavy ketosis and didnt see a loss. Now he has added the wheat bread back for the past 2 days and he is losing again. I have never read anywhere that some people might need MORE than 20 carbs in order to lose, but it seems to work this way for him. My car is in the repair shop today. My muffler broke and my car sounds like a go cart. I can't wait to have it fixed, it is so embarassing. Oh and I was so afraid that my transmission was going out but I had my car put on a computer and it is just a speed sensor - whew! I can have that fixed for under $100!!! YAY!!! Oh and I have done some thinking on school. I am going to stick with getting my Associates in Arts/Business first then go on to my BA in Business. I used to work in HR and I really enjoyed it. I really enjoy accounting as well. It does seem like once you have that Bachelors you can just take a few more classes to get one in something else. I think I will come out with B's this semester. I really wanted an A. It's possible I could get A's..... we'll see.

Congrats to your husband on the loss. I have read where many people say they loss more once they start adding in the carbs during OWL. Keep up the good work with school. Sounds like you have a good plan. Have a great day!

w00t for the hubby's weight loss. My hubby is still not feeling very well. Hoping that he feels better today. Staying the same for you is good also, I had only a 1/2 pound weight loss last week. Of course, I upped my exercise, so maybe that's why, since I haven't changed anything else. Maybe next week will be better. Seems like "onederland" is taking forever!! And good news on your car. My transmission was slipping, had it checked and the fluids and filter changed. Ten the CV joint was leaking and got that fixed. The check engine light is still coming on, and it says the tranny is slipping, but it's not, so not sure what the heck is going on there. Mechanic says it need a new tranny ($3000), but I am going to wait until it goes out before I do anything drastic like that. As for school, do what your heart desires, as that is where your true riches will be! And I have no doubt that you can make A's. You're a smart woman.

Amanda, a lot of people think they will lose more in induction than anywhere else, but that is not always the case. Most people actually do better in OWL and lose most of the weight here than anywhere else. I am so happy he is doing well. If you don't mind me asking, how tall is he? Good job on deciding on your education. It's relieving to finally know where you want to go. And I am sure that you will get wonderful grades. Don't sweat it.

LOL Keli - He is not very tall. He is 5' 6" actually about 1/2 an inch shorter than I am. He is a short stocky guy. When we were young and he was in good shape he could do flips and walk on his hands for a long time. I always told him that if he had gone to gymnasics he probably would have been really good at it. He carries all his extra weight in his belly. Stef - you may just need your computer reset. I can feel my trans slip. I will be going down the road just fine with no check engine light on and my trans will slip, the car jerks really hard, the rpm's go up, and the check engine light comes on. I lose 4th gear and 1st gear. I have a manu-matic so I can see that 4th gear is gone. So I pull over, kill it, restart it and it is fine until the next time it does it. They told me that even after I replace the speed sensor the check engine light will still come on until I have the computer fixed. They said that once that error messsage gets in the memory it won't go away until the computer is reset. If your tranny is not slipping anymore maybe you computer just needs reset. I am so happy over my husband's loss. I think OWL is better for him than induction.

I was just checking. Doesn't sound like he really has a lot of weight to lose so he will be losing it a lot slower than someone with more to lose. Even though he is a guy, it will be slower.

Oooo, thx for describing your car problems! Mine goes into the shop Mon. and I've been worried to death about it. Now,I'm hopeful(?) it's the speed sensor. Mine is doing the same thing! Congrats to the hubby on his loss. It's true that we're all different and different things work for each of us.Your's will drop too! I'm sure you'll do great in school. Knowing where you want to go is half the battle!

Yes, he knows it will be slower. He said he will be happy even with a 1/2 - 1 pound a week. He was just getting really worried because it had been 6 days with nothing lost. I am just so glad he didn't give up. I had to talk him out of eating ice cream last night. lol

Yes candyann. I drive an 02 Hyundai Sonata and it is the "transmission input speed sensor" I took mine to Auto Zone and they will put it on the computer for you for free and tell you why your check engine light is on - which was hard for me since mine goes on and off all the time. So it said that was what I needed so I called a Hyundai dealership and talked to service about it and told them what it was doing and what the computer said and the service guy said that that was exactly what it was - the speed sensor. There is an input & output sensor - I am replacing both since he said they are related and if one is going out the other is not far behind it.

Let him know that I do that too. I stay for a week at a time then wham, I drop a few then nothing again. Our bodies are mysterious things and will do what it wants when it wants.
