Are you low carbing? There may be a few substitutes that you can look into that will help you with cravings. Making sure to do some supplements may also help. Great to hear that you are seeing results!!!

yes do have a few substitutes. I bought this wonderful pumpkin keto bread from the freezer at Walmart. You have to cut it into 6 parts and I put them back in my freezer and bring it out usually for b-fast. It tastes wonderful along with bulletproof coffee. I also bought Mikey's eng muffins but did not realize until I got home that I can have only half. The taste is ok but with something on top of it like cheese or egg it is alright. I tried making the breads with the combo of almond flour and coconut flour but the taste I didn't like and trashed the bread (altho it looked perfect). The Birch Benders pancake mix is also very good. But what I wouldn't give for a big piece of toasted garlic bread!

Yeah carbs do taste great. I think that is because back when people had a harder time finding foods they were "guided" to eating all that energy that sometimes plants can give us. The problem comes in a time of over supply of carbs food. We have to use a lot of control and some of us do not have it. Not sure what could replace garlic bread. But maybe you can use that as your reward some times in the future.

There's no reason to torture yourself! When protein and calories are equated, there's no difference in weight loss between low carb, low fat, or balanced carb and fat diets. You can get awesome weight loss results and still eat the foods you like. The best diet is the one you like and can stick to. GO EAT YOUR TOAST, and make up for the calories somewhere else in your diet. Cheers!

Keto / low carbing is the new gold standard for managing diabetes. Not everyone has the same glycemic threshold. If avoiding grains can heal diabetes or metabolic syndrome it deserves our respect.
