How do you make your cauliflower rice? Is there an easier way than cutting it up and mashing it ????

I have the same question. Do I need a ricer? Do I cook it first and run it through a food processor? Or use a grater and then boil it?

Just cut up some raw cauliflower, give it a whirl it a food processor. Then sauté.

I buy it already rice-shaped in the freezer section at Costco. But you can also put raw cauliflower in the food processor or use a cheese grater and then cook it.

OOMarxOO - check out your grocery store chains - you can often find it ready to use

HCB - I sautéed the shrimp and peppers in avocado oil and added garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, curry powder, turmeric, ginger and chili powder. I took those out and put the cauliflower rice in the same pan with some white wine vinegar, soy sauce and siracha.

@HCB I'll just have to make it from scratch. It is not something I will be able to find in southern Mexico. I picked up cauliflower yesterday so I can give it a try.

How does cauliflower rice compair to real rice. I know I don't mind it mashed, but I haven't tried it as a rice.
