I started this in mid August after seeing the Horizon programme about the health benefits of intermittent fasting.
The presenter ended up fasting 2 days a week but I have decided on 3, my fasting days are Monday Wednesday and Friday
It works for me because it is only one day - "I can eat tomorrow" keeps me going
The other thing is that I am keeping a calorie based food diary and I am trying to be strict about keeping this up. The other thing is I now only drink alcohol at the weekend - I think that makes a difference as well.

I didn't weigh myself before I started this, the weight I entered is from July
189.6 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 57.3 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

My tip would be to have a smaller target and do it in steps so it looks more achievable. You can move your target down as you go along.
