Wanted to make sure I was *really* going to do this before proceeding as I'm tired of dropping in and out again - but so far, so good. Stopped smoking & drinking as of 9/1 and have been stable & committed for 10 days. Was focusing on breaking habits and not food, so weight gain not unexpected, but time to nip in the bud.

Proud of you about the smoking. I quit about a month ago. Since I have been walking, have not had the desire to smoke.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys! How sweet (grin). This was my second time quitting - first time went 3 months, then caved for a year; hopefully, this time will be forever.
