8/17/12

Things were uneventful today as far as food goes. I have a three day weekend off this weekend. YEAH!!! Monday is the next phase of the diet surgery screening procedure. I have a physical therapy appointment and a behavioral therapist appointment. From what I understand, in physical therapy they will assess my flexibility, strength, endurance, etc. I will also be given an exercise plan for the next 6 months. The behavioral therapist will assess the reasons why I eat the way I do, see if there are any habits that could be dangerous such as binging, purging, etc. I'm curious to find out what happens at these appointments and if I'll find out anything about myself I don't already know. Any insight is always helpful.

After Monday, I will be finished with everything except the surgeon appointment and the wait. I go to a dietician and my primary physician monthly for 6 months then I have to wait 45-60 days after that for insurance approval. I'm glad for this waiting period and all the pre-op work up because all it does is help me in the long run. Julie

Good Luck and don't give up :) As I have been told many times in the last couple of weeks: A body in motion stays in motion, a body at rest stays at rest!!!

The behavorial therapist might be interesting. There are always emotional reasons why people gain weight and that is one of the things I have struggled with the most.
