I was quite surprised with my weigh in yesterday. Last time I stepped on the scale, a couple weeks ago, I was almost at 130, 128 or something. To go down to 120 was unexpected. I started a new lifting program, soon the loads are going to be heavy and usually it makes me gain weight.
Today is lifting day, again lol! this new program is very interesting, I used to work on power lifts with Crossfit, now I'm working on Olympic Snatch and Clean-Jerk and even if the lifts remain the same, Olympic style has a different depth and for me it's much harder. Working on my squat form, and overall technique, I don't lift a lot of weight but it's very demanding.
I was thinking that, if I can get some results and get to a decent weight, I would register to my first meet next year. A meet is the name given to a weightlift competition. I'm still planning on doing the Crossfit Games Open next year too. I think it's very important to have this kind of goal, it gives a meaning to my training!
I would love to join a weightlift club, unfortunately I didn't find one yet in my area. I have all the equipment and the will to progress, but working with other people helps a lot with technique and form. Right now I'm working with my camera, making videos and watching them afterwards to check where the problems are. It is painful to see myself sometimes lol! My style is still beginner, lots of mistakes and shows how much work I need to do.
Life is good, tough and sad sometimes, but it's good.
