One day at a time..my newest mantra! It's all in there...all the healthy choice options I have learned over time. It's second nature. But every day I get challenged by the random 'food item' that I absolutely LOVE - but have chosen to go without.
For now...I choose not to eat Corn on the Cob, or Popcorn...two of my all time favorites...but you know what...I FELT SOOOO MUCH BETTER at 140 than any 'chow session' of some food item I love.
So - tempted or not... I choose to honor myself, and stick with the program. Progress is happening...because of my choices!!! That's such a great mental connection!

you know Buffy - that was my thought exactly. It's ok to know that I will have it again...when I'm ready...and on my terms! Just reducing the power of food in my thoughts...reduces my waistline ;)

Great thought...need to adopt that as one of my mantras. Think that many of us tend to backslide because we did go for a long period of time doing without and then when we gave into "one" temptation or missed taste...we had no restraint and kept adding other missed tastes. At least that is what happened with me. And popcorn...I thoroughly understand! It WAS my very favorite snack food! Have a great Sunday.

Having ridden this rollercoaster (which I said I would never do) - I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN! This is way - WAYYYY too much work - to get it off and keep it off... to screw it up again! If restraint has to be a lifetime commitment...so be it. If others can indulge and I cannot...so be it! I do know that I can space things out and have the rare or occasional treat about once a month - without any damage control. It's when it became more often than that... that all things started to lose perspective. Much easier to see the patterns now...then when I was in the middle of it! Downward, friends... Much Love.

Like that too "reducing the power of food in my thoughts...reduces my waistline" I need to get that in my life....one day at a time. We need to honour ourselves. I feel like all the work I did I have undone, but I have to look at what I have done overall and that is incredible I AM proud of what I have done, at least that is what I would say to someone else LOL so I say it to me as well.
