BAD NEWS; GOOD NEWS
Bad News - Went to the NBA All-Star game last week with my brother and a buddy on our annual mini-vacation. I knew before I went that I would drink and eat a lot; after all, it was New Orleans, best food in the country. My goal was not to gain weight. I dieted very hard before going and had lost two pounds. Came back, and I had gained 2.5 lbs, meaning that I had gained .5 lbs for the week. Chose not to do my weigh-in on Monday as a result. Ugh!

Good News -- For the first time in several years, I did not have to wear an extension belt on the plane! What a great feeling!!! Anyway, except for one bad day this week, I have been back on track with my diet and expect to see some weightloss when I weigh in on Monday. Probably not the 3-4 lbs I hope to lose, but hopefullly at least 2 lbs. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Being up only .5 pound after a bit of a binge like that isn't bad at all. And the best part is that you didn't let that splurge derail you. Way to go!!

That you are right about.. New Orleans definetly has the best food in the country... I might even have to say the world.. but I guess I would have to travel a little more to say that huh? lol Don't worry about that little .5 weight gain.. all that matters is that your back on track again and focused! Good luck this week!!

The important thing is that you got back on track after the splurge. Not having to wear an extension belt must be a motivator too. That is so great.

So jealous that you were there! I agree with slease. Good for you for not going so over board that you would have a significant weight gain. We need a time to splurging every so often is not a bad thing. We just have to be careful. Kudos for staying on track!
