When life gets me down - for one reason or another - I need to take some time to count my blessings! I used to turn to food to comfort me when I was sad, but I am changing - and that is no longer an option in my life. Knowing I have friends on here that will read this, and care that I am going thru something difficult - that is a great blessing! Thank you for being there - even if it is through a computer screen. Live each day with love in your heart - and give it away to someone else. To me, that's what life is all about! Love.

Funny, I was talking to my oldest son (25) about this yesterday... about how during the dark, difficult times, I have sometimes literally gotten a piece of paper out and started writing out my blessings...as simple sometimes as Thank You God for my fingers, with which to write... my kids, who are healthy...and so on. It is amazing how it can change your attitude and give you a boost for the day. It can pull you up from the pits! Good for you about changing your habit of turning to food. It is a journey and I am on the same road as you in this. THank you, too, for pouring so much encouragement and insight into my life and that of the group! Here's to having a fantastic Friday and wonderful weekend full of what is important... life, family, friends and love...
