After a much needed release of my emotions - just to write about my grief made me feel better yesterday! But you guy's love and support, made me feel AWESOME! So THANK YOU!

Starting to evaluate and consider my workout choices. What will work for me? What has worked for me? What are my goals, and how do I want to get there?

I am leaning strongly in the direction of using a Curves Workout to get back into shape. I am researching some of the locations near me, and I am looking at this one option as the 'strongest' contender for a couple of reasons.

About 7-8 years ago, I went to a curves for about 6 months. And by the end of month 3-4, I had become toned, and overall, in great shape. Not 'bodybuilder lady at the gym' great ... but great enough for me, and what I want to look like!!!

I have been using the local planet fitness (weights/cardio) for the last 2-3 years... and I have not come close to looking like what I did look like after consistently using Curves.

So, I am thinking of joining on a month to month basis...and going for 3 months and then re-evaluating where I am at...fitness wise.

Food choices are all going well. Planning a cookout and get together for tomorrow night here at my home. So much easier to have it here and make all kinds of things that I can have...than to GO somewhere else where I cannot control things like 'marinades' and 'desserts' etc.

This way - these people are going to eat healthy, and they won't even know it! ;)

Much Love.

Curves sounds like a great idea ... If it's worked before, go for it :-)

My friend just signed up of Curves and she loves it. She said that she thinks she finally found her thing. As they say, the secret to staying with an exercise program is to find something you like. Oh how true that is. Enjoy your cook out.

I've been considering curves. But the times they are open here don't really coincide with my schedule. There used to be one really close to my house but they shut down. So for now it is me and my elliptical. I just got a new dvd called Fit At Fifty. Gonna try it out in the morning.

I wanted to do Zumba - tried it and just loved it! my legs, on the other hand...not so much. I felt like something in the outside of my calves was just going to snap...tried stretching, rubs, wrapping my legs, even muscle relaxers before, but no luck...very upsetting, because it's the first form of excercise that wasn't a four letter word for me, and that I actually enjoyed. started walking several days a week with my neighbor, and a friend did mention a trial at Curves - maybe I'll check it out and see. Good luck!
