I lost another 1.1 lbs. today. I have no idea what I'm doing right. I've been adding variety and carbs and the weight fairy must be rewarding me for being so good at the retreat. I am still not all the way up to 25 carbs but I made it to 23.2 yesterday. I realized that I have lost 28.6 lbs. which is a lot of weight. I have decided I am going to reward myself when I get to 30 pounds lost. Any ideas? I don't think I can get a smaller size of jeans yet but soon...I know that soon my weight loss will slow down or stop so I will enjoy this gift from my weight fairy as long as I can. Maybe my new scale heard how the old one got trashed because I didn't like my weight? I am just getting ready to drink my third bottle of water and my one Diet Dr. Pepper for the day. I need to take my dog out and do some dishes then I will try to post on as many of my buddies journals as I can. I haven't said hello to some of my buddies for a while. We all need encouragement.
I spent the evening with a friend who needs a liver transplant and that makes you appreciate the good things in your life more - like all my buddies here and the renewed health from this way of life. My diabetes was killing me and now I am off all my diabetic medication thanks to Atkins. We are all very lucky to have found this way of life.

Big congrats on the weight loss. Reward yourself with some skinny jeans - even if they don't fit yet because they will soon. That and a belt cuz the old ones will need them. Keep up the great work you deserve all the success life can bring you.

Congratulations on the weight loss. You are doing awesome! And I agree with Keli, buy yourself some skinny jeans, because at the rate you are going it won't be long before you'll be struttin' around in them!! YAY, you!!

Congratulations! Wow, that's an impressive loss. And best of all - to be off diabetes meds! That's a huge accomplishment. My brother has diabetes, didn't know it until he lost most of his foot (all gone now). He recently (Aug.) had a kidney & pancreas transplant and is doing very well. Be very, very proud of yourself. Both for the weight loss AND for regaining health. That's the most important thing - regardless of how cute we want to look : )At 30 lbs, you've got to be in a different size. OK, it's not 30 yet, but it will be before you know it! Celebrate every little and big milestone! I'm proud of you!
