Went to my nephews graduation today. (I think having stuff like that on a holiday weekend is rude, but that's a story for another time.) Dinner was a nacho bar. I like nachos as much as anyone but last time we got together with them, I went nuts on chips and garbage. Plenty of opportunity for without a nacho bar, but instead, I made a big salad with shredded chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, olives, salsa and guacamole. Stayed around 500 calories and ate two big plates of food. Of course a bit of diet self-righteousness popped into my head as I estimated the calories of some of the other people's plates, but I used that as motivation rather than condescension.
