Second attempt at this entry after the giant dog decided this was the day he was going to be ferocious and eat the small dog outside through the metal security door. He is currently in timeout for being a butthead. We get to start over and he gets to wait for breakfast. Great plan, Hogan.
Twenty minute incline treadmill workout followed by a swim later in the afternoon.
818 strokes, 10.1METs, 145 average heart rate. 18 minutes in warm up, stopped a minute to deal with a text and wasn't able to find my rhythm so spent the last 9 minutes in peak. so we definitely hit both ends of the spectrum. Oh well. Went well over caloric goal but I was ravenous later in the evening. Like actively hungry enough to go out for food if there was none in the house and that usually saves me. Don't know if it was the exercise, the mix up away from chicken or what, but it was interesting. Still went down from yesterday, so good enough. Continued the mix up this morning with oatmeal instead of eggs. Day two away from chicken. Oatmeal instead of eggs. Need to add some protein later in the day, but not at the expense of calories this morning. Probably PB2 and Greek yogurt or protein powder. I only have chocolate and while I do love cocoa flavored oatmeal, I just wasn't feeling it this morning. Cooked the steel cut oats in the Instant Pot, remembered yet again that my friend has not returned my cookbook with the grains chart and just bought another one since it's been about two years and I don't care for the Kindle version of the book on my laptop.
Fell asleep with damp hair, woke up to extreme ringlets. I forget how curly this mop is. Must remember, do not touch hair all day until I can wash them out. Maybe we can do a beach loop in the Miata and I get get them even tighter. That's always fun. Remembered part of what I wrote earlier. Switched things up, did a double set, was ravenous in the evening. Not sure if it was the swimming after the treadmill or the change in temperature. I was just starving to the point of being super annoyed. So there you go. Still haven't cut it other than playing with scissors from time to time. Probably won't this year, no point until it gets so big I can't fit through my car door.
