Thanks, Jimmie, Mariel, Breco, Ches, and DP! FMD is the fasting-mimicking diet by Dr. Valter Longo as described in his book The Longevity Diet. I do it once a month. Veggies and nuts mostly for five days. 1100 calories the first day followed by four days of 800 calories. It is supposed to simulate the effects of fasting and bring on autophagy. I wasn't completely rigid with it this month. But it's losing me a few pounds.
